Minimalism – A by-product of Gardening?

When you see a plant/tree shedding its leaves in autumn, you can’t help but wonder why didn’t I do this? Why did I not let go of the things that are old, dry and no more of any use? We clutter ourselves with so many material and emotional baggage. We need to let go. We need to understand that after every autumn comes a spring! Every single time we let go of things that are no longer needed, we make room for new and beautiful ones to come into our life. Applies to single facet of our life!

Minimalism is defined in many ways by many people. All I want to say here is let go off the useless stuff. I have been trying to get rid off the stuff I no longer need and with every single thing I pick up, I realize I have attached so many emotions to it. All I wonder is why? Do you as well?

Why I started Gardening…

Like everyone I started gardening for small joys that it brings.. to see a flower bloom… to see a plant grow… to see a life grow!

During this incredible journey I didn’t just learn about plants and ways to grow them but also about living life in a different way!

The way they say, every journey is a spiritual one! After completing a 100 technical posts on gardening, I did like to share a few articles on how gardening changed my perspective, what I learnt, what I believe and where I am headed.

Hope you like the upcoming series!

Happy Gardening 🙂

Single Vs. Double

We know flowers help attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

We also know that the flowers have to be native/indigenous!

What next?

It is said that the bees and butterflies prefer single petaled flowers more than double.

Confused? Look the following pictures. The images to left indicate single petaled flowers and the images to the right are double petaled ones.

Opt for single petaled flowers the next time.

Happy Gardening 🙂

While we start with plants, a Garden is never just about plants!

A Garden starts with plants..
